Aspen 2 2-Stroke Alkylate Petrol – 5L

Aspen 2 is ready-mixed fuel for air-cooled 2-stroke machinery such as chainsaws, strimmers, brushcutters and hedge trimmers. It combines alkylate petrol with 2% fully synthetic 2-stroke oil, so there is no measuring or mixing to do.

What is Aspen fuel?

Aspen is a specialist alkylate petrol developed for small engines. Its carefully controlled composition contains far fewer harmful components, such as benzene and aromatic hydrocarbons, than ordinary pump petrol. It is also ethanol-free. This makes it a useful choice for machinery used close to the operator and equipment that spends weeks or months between jobs.

Key benefits

• Cleaner exhaust: reduces exposure to several harmful substances found in the exhaust from conventional petrol. Engines must still be operated outdoors.
• Cleaner engine: helps limit deposits on spark plugs and in the combustion chamber, supporting reliable running.
• No ethanol: avoids ethanol-related moisture absorption and associated fuel-system problems.
• Long storage life: Aspen quotes 3–5 years under suitable storage conditions, making it practical for seasonal machinery and helping with starting after storage.
• Ready to pour: premixed at 50:1 with fully synthetic oil for compatible 2-stroke engines.

Why choose it?

Ideal when you want less mixing hassle, cleaner running and fuel that stays usable between trimming, cutting and maintenance jobs. Its higher purchase price reflects the specialist fuel formulation; the benefits are convenience, storage stability and reduced deposits rather than a promise of lower fuel consumption.

How to use

Confirm your machine is compatible with a 50:1 premix. Aspen 2 already contains oil: do not add more. It is intended for compatible air-cooled 2-stroke engines; do not substitute it for specialist outboard fuel mixtures. Stop the engine and let it cool before refuelling. Follow the machine manufacturer's instructions when changing fuels and storing equipment.

Safety and storage

Highly flammable petrol. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Use petrol machinery outdoors only; cleaner fuel does not make exhaust safe to breathe. Store upright in the original, tightly closed container in a suitable cool, ventilated place, out of reach of children. Read the container label and safety data sheet before use.
