Make drying off after wet walks, swimming and bath time easier with the Dogrobes Original Dog Drying Robe. The soft towelling wraps around your dog, absorbing moisture while they wear it and helping keep wet, muddy shake-off away from the house or car.
The Original uses a lightweight, single layer of dual-loop fabric. Longer loops on the inside draw water from the coat, while adjustable ties hold the robe comfortably against the body so the fabric can keep working as your dog settles.
Key benefits
- Absorbent towelling for drying after walks, swims and baths.
- Long inner loops maintain contact with the coat to take up moisture.
- Wraparound coverage extends across the back, hindquarters and underbelly.
- Adjustable ties allow the fit to be loosened or secured around the body.
- Tie fastening avoids hook-and-loop strips that can catch fur or collect hair.
- Hanging loop for airing and storage between uses.

Choosing the right size
Measure your dog while standing upright. Take the girth around the deepest part of the chest, then measure the back from the collar to the base of the tail. Girth is the main sizing measurement; back length provides a useful check on coverage.
Choose the larger size when between sizes. The manufacturer also recommends sizing up when the back length is equal to or greater than the girth, to provide sufficient coverage over the hindquarters.
| Size | Dog's girth |
|---|---|
| Toy | 51cm / 20in |
| Toy Wide Neck | 51cm / 20in; neck opening 43cm / 17in |
| XS | 61cm / 24in |
| Small | 66cm / 26in |
| Medium | 76cm / 30in |
| Large | 81cm / 32in |
| XL | 91cm / 36in |
Toy Wide Neck has a wider neck opening than the standard Toy fit, making it an option to consider for dogs needing more room around the neck. Check your dog's measurements before choosing.
How to use
- Slip the robe over your dog's head and straighten the fabric across the back.
- Bring the ties underneath the body, keeping the towelling in contact with the coat.
- Fasten loosely to one side of the spine, following the manufacturer's fitting instructions.
- Remove the robe when your dog is dry. Drying time varies with coat type and how wet your dog is.
- Hang the robe up to air before storing or using it again.
Care
Wash before first use to remove loose manufacturing fibres and prepare the towelling. Machine wash at 30°C and wash dark colours separately for the first wash. Avoid fabric conditioner and tumble-dryer sheets, which can reduce absorbency. Line dry or tumble dry on a gentle setting, following the care label.
